IRON INFUSION THERAPY

Why do you need Iron Infusion?

An intravenous (IV) iron infusion is a medical procedure where iron is given directly into the bloodstream through your vein.

Iron is essential for producing hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carry oxygen throughout your body. When iron levels are low, it can lead to iron deficiency anemia, causing symptoms like fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath. Iron infusion therapy is a quick and effective way to restore iron levels, especially when oral supplements are ineffective or poorly tolerated.

Anemia is a condition in which the blood doesn’t have enough healthy red blood cells and hemoglobin. There are many forms of anemia. Anemia can range from mild to severe. If you have anemia and cannot take iron orally (by mouth), you can get iron through an IV infusion.
